Amanda Swift
Singing Coach at Wicked Academy
My Story
Amanda first fell head over heels for musical theatre at the tender age of ten, after watching a local am-dram production of Blood Brothers (cue emotional music and dramatic lighting). From that moment on, she was hooked—belting out songs in the school corridors and dragging her parents to every show she could find.

She began her training in classical singing, but her heart soon pirouetted over to musical theatre. That passion led her to the prestigious Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London, where she earned her degree and a healthy addiction to jazz hands.

Since graduating, Amanda has had a wonderfully varied career—singing in concerts, appearing in theatre productions, charming audiences in old-time music hall shows, and bringing the house down on stages both in the UK and abroad.

These days, you’ll most likely find her causing mischief every Christmas at the E.M. Forster Theatre in Tonbridge, where she shares the panto spotlight with her husband, best mate, and fellow theatrical troublemaker, Tom Swift.

Amanda has spent years teaching singing at local theatre schools and absolutely loves helping young performers find their voice—literally. She’s all about building strong, safe technique, and encouraging every student to bring out the personality in their performance. Because, as Amanda will tell you, it’s great to sound amazing—but it’s even better to mean every word you're singing.

She’s buzzing to be part of the Wicked Academy team and can’t wait to help our future stars sing their hearts out—on key, with confidence, and full of character!
